Joe Burrow just announced, earlier today, that he is leaving Ohio State.. He looked very good in the spring game for the Buckeyes but I think ultimately Dwayne Haskins will win the starting job with Tate Martell off the bench.. I was actually expecting this earlier in his career when JT Barrett was #1 and Dwayne Haskins was recruited... However, there are people at Ohio State that thought that Burrow would start this year.
Burrow is a heck of a QB but I am guessing he will probably head to Ohio University where he is from as his Dad is an assistant coach for the Bobcats... Still, he would be a great get for the Gophers and would probably be good enough to compete for a starting QB role as soon as he would be eligible. Burrow passed for a ton of yards his senior year of HS but also had over 1000 yards rushing that year from the QB position.
LSU and Cincinnati are, or already have, contacted him about transferring to those schools. Cincinnati would make sense with former OSU coach Luke Fickell at the helm. His Dad and brothers attended Nebraska where they all played football and lettered.
