It has been reported that Minnesota defeated a solid Creighton (Big East) team in a secret scrimmage at Williams Arena 91-79. Hoping to get more details about the contest shortly. The Jays were one of the top teams in the country last year before star point guard Mo Watson got hurt. After his injury, they still made the NCAA Tournament but were defeated in the first round.

Star wing and former Kansas State transfer Marcus Foster is back after averaging 18.2 ppg last year. He had 19 points in the scrimmage. Senior forward Khyri Thomas is back this year after averaging 12.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Justin Patton, of course, left early after a big season last year and was drafted in the first round by the Wolves.

The Bluejays finished 25-10 (10-8) in 2016-17
