With the lack of quality quarterbacks produced in this state is off season coaching a problem? Wrestling has pinnacle sports and has produced many state, college and international wrestlers, with kids starting at 5 and 6 years old. 40 years ago basketball had Kevin Mchale and not much else. Now with aau and club teams the state has a lot of high end players even if were not getting them signed. At one time we had a poster who went to high school in Texas and said track was basically an extension of the football season going over the play book and 7 on 7 drills. It doesn't seem like there is much in the way of youth football in the state but I don't know either.
