First you need a winner or competitive games, something The Gophers have lacked over the years. Second a young fan base is a whole lot easier to get involved and third great chants are generally easy. Give the Vikings credit for stealing the skol chant, any two year old can get involved and you don't need to sing which makes the old men happy.
Watched some of the U-Tube soccer fan in Europe and insanely wild. 1987 Twins world series, the North Stars last playoff year in Minnesota, 1984 Olympic hockey (USA USA) the Gophers basketball team during Musselman's years all were crazy good. The feeling of real excitement is such a great feeling and one a person doesn't have all that often in life; if you could bottled it you'd be rich.
Rambling a bit but what would be your most exciting venue, chant or song?
