  • Basketball had a big win last night. Really proud of the team. Also happy birthday to Mark Coyle.
  • Veterans Day: One thing our players understand is that we support people.
  • We got better over the course of a week. Last week, we got whooped, this week we got better. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday they practiced better than they had all year. They did great academically during the week.
  • If you strike first, you can take the spirit out of somebody else.
  • Coach Riley is a class act. Got to know him throughout the years.
  • Demry has learned more when to keep the ball and when not to keep the ball. Weeks ago, he did not make those decisions as well. He's getting better at running the offense. He's getting better at rallying players and he has a bigger voice.
  • Two of Demry's incompletions were throwaways, two were drops. He played very well.
  • On one of Demry's option keeps, he thought Rodney had the ball and he never gets fooled. He yelled fumble when Rodney was hit.
  • Duke earned a C on his chest this week. He's changed his best.
  • The offense got simpler this week. Demry's better when things are smaller, concise and he can master things.
  • Proud of where we're at right now. People could have quit but they kept rowing the boat and kept their oar in the water.
  • Earlier in the week, players wrote down who they were going to play for on the team and who they were going to play for that's not on the team. Kept it concise with two people. Farmer's alliance and Nekton mentality.
  • The option is something you have to work on a lot. The speed option takes practice.
  • There are a lot of big backs that don't actually run behind their pads. Kobe McCrary does. He understands leverage.
