The Gophers extended a Preferred Walk-On offer to Eastview (Apple Valley) RB/LB Mike Delich at the game against Oregon State. The following day, Delich helped lead an Eastview team that was winless last season, to a 23-8 upset victory over third ranked Woodbury. Delich led the offense with over 200 yards on the ground and a 25-yard TD reception, along with several tackles on defense.
