eight months to kick-off game August 30...NMSU program on a positive note after getting to Bowl game for first time in 57 years...ended up beating Utah State in ot to finish 7-6...big passing attack with QB Tyler Rogers top ten in nation, receiver Jaleel Scott top 25...both graduate...1,000 yard tailback also leaving (he had 500 rcvng yards as well)...lose two starting olinemen...lose a lb and a s on first team defense....NMSU opens season at home vs Wyoming then has quick turnaround getting to TCF for Thursday night...veteran coach Doug Martin in year six in 2018... was head guy at Kent State for 2004-10...one year off coordinator at BC...brought former BC head coach Frank Spaziani to be NMSU def coord...leaving SunBelt conference, will play as an Indy in 2018...
