90+ points against 2 ranked teams?? This team is fun to watch and play good offensive basketball.. Stollings has earned her keep this year... Girls get up and down the floor pretty good... They can shoot and attack the basket from 4 positions on the floor.. Yes, the defense could use some shaping up yet but they blew out a top 10 team today... If you have not seen them as a Gopher fan, you need to watch this team play. Fun to see the crowd out at the Barn as well.
This sounds like I am taking a shot at the guys team, but this is what basketball has become.. You dont see a lot of presses in the college game, anymore. So many teams have 2-3 ballhandlers in the game and move the ball upcourt so quickly... I do think that the recipe for success in college ball is to have 4 guys on the floor at all times that can attack off the dribble and shoot outside to keep the defenses honest.. Rebounding has become more of an issue of 'chasing down balls' than boxing out. Whether you like it or not, it is what it is... Minnesota's girls have those things in place right now and are a heck of a fun team to watch play.. Just so Pitts does not have anything serious and they will be just fine!!! Go Gophers!!!
