OSU barely beat Portland State (PS) today at home. It took a long TD drive in the last minute of the game to pull out a victory.
PS is an FCS team that plays in the Big Sky Conference along with North Dakota, Northern Arizona and the two Montana schools. PS was 3-8 last year with all wins in the conference but suffered many injuries over the course of the season. They were 9-3 in the year prior and beat Washington State.
PS rolled up 515 yards against OSU with 291 on the ground with 54 carries (5.4 YPC). PS led in time of possession by 36.5 minutes to 23.5 minutes. It was very hot at OSU today and is expected to be even hotter next week--although the game is at night.
Why, again, did NE hire Mike Riley. He left a total mess as OSU>
