I am so tired of Molitor not letting a pitcher throw another inning after they are above 85 pitches. Tonight Santiago was at 87 pitches and cruising, yet he gets pulled after 6. The bullpen has been abused the past week, save them an inning or two.
Is this a sabermetrics thing? Or is now universally accepted that 100 pitches is the max? Pretty Jack Morris, Blyleven, Nolan, Frankie V would have told Molitor to go AZJ himself. Please don't say it is early in the season either, these guys have had nearly 3 months to build the arm back up
