We know he is bringing in quality players that are quality kids.. But he is exposing Gopher fans to how the big boys recruit.. Maybe a few of us here would be surprised.
If you go on Ohio State's recruiting boards, they can point out the 2019s. 2020s, and 2021s that are being recruited.. University of Minnesota has seen the mention of underclassmen recruiting more with basketball but now we are seeing this with football. Big schools like Ohio State and Alabama have had contacts at camps , attending track meets of underclassmen in high school, seeing basketball games to find out how athletic the future football players may be if they also play that sport, etc, where underclassmen start listing favorites as far as prospective colleges.. That is why recruiting never stops.. No assistant coach that is worth his salt just sits around satisfied at any given time because there is ALWAYS work to do in recruiting. It ABSOLUTELY never ends. We shouldn't be surprised to see 2020s and 2021s listing Minnesota as a school of interest in the near future.. It is NEVER just one class at a time for the big boys.. It is about recruiting for the next year and years after, every year, for the winning programs in D1 football.
