Very short interview. No new information given by Fleck:

“Every day continuing to grow as men…had the highest GPA in team history this past semester. I think people are excited in the community and are buying into our program.”

Sid asked about 70% of the team being underclassmen. PJ says he wants to look at it as a positive since they get to build them as young players and continue to develop them as they get older.

22 offseason surgeries last year going into spring practice. “Credit to our strength coaches…credit to the players for taking care of their bodies, sleeping enough, etc.”

Coach Fleck said the offensive line is better this year but doesn’t say that it is fixed. They will need young players to grow on the offensive line as time progresses. “We’re going to need freshman across the board to play this season.”

Sid questioned the defense having to replace some key players. PJ reiterated that while they lost some key guys, they have other very important players coming back who are young and will be here for a few more years. A lot of competition at positions all over the team.
