- Gotta give Wisconsin a lot of credit. Phenomenal football team and Chryst is one of the best coaches in the country. They've done this to almost everyone they've played. It goes all the way back -- compliments to Barry Alvarez and what he started and the culture he built.
- Gotta be able to execute. If you don't execute against a team like that, that's what happens. We didn't take of the opportunities we had, and that's the very least we needed to do.
- Apologize to everyone that the outcome wasn't what we wanted and that 100% falls on me.
- Need to get separation at wide receiver. Need to continue to recruit and develop.
- There was a major strength difference among the two teams.
- Have to thank the seniors. Can't thank them enough and appreciate them giving us and this culture everything.
- We are exactly where we are. People can talk about where we were before or past years but the reality is we are where we are, and I was hired to fix it. And we will.
- Today was unacceptable. There are no moral victories. I didn't do a good enough coaching. Fact.

- Results of the year are not surprising to me. You're hired for a reason.
- Buying in is difficult. Having three coaches in three years is like having three step dads in three years and not knowing who to trust. With us, it's like there's change in every area of your life and we're in your business. There were people who bought in right away, those who bought in a week later, six months later, and there may be some who still haven't bought in.
- We're not deep enough on the defensive line. We don't have the depth to rotate everyone and still be effective. Our offense didn't get our defense a chance.
- Croft was getting a lot of pressure.
- The offense will look very different personnel-wise. There will be a lot of additions that come in and play. We're going to get younger before we get more experience.
- The 2018 class should look at this as an opportunity to come in and play. That's exciting.
- The 22 players that missed the offseason didn't get the chance to go through much of a S&C program.
- When you haven't won for 50 years, you have to make a drastic change.
- It hurts, especially for the seniors. Just have to trust the process.
- The locker room was very emotional.
- Hate that the seniors are sent out that way. Laid it all out for those guys and I'll miss them. It's tough.
- Not sure how far away we are from getting the Axe back. Just need to prepare for next season and be the best team we can be each week. It's just execution.
- Learned a lot this season. Probably the biggest lesson was to respond and not quit. Learned a lot from Coach Fleck and Burns.
