PJ Fleck
- We ended up playing 24 freshman. Accomplished everything we wanted to accomplish. Got a lot of players playing time.
- Players were connected and won as a team. Players wanted to be coached, wanted to coach each other, and wanted to have fun. Want to practice like pros and play like kids.
- It's very difficult to exceed my expectations because the minute you're getting close, the expectations go up. But this is what I wanted to see from the team.
- Annexstad made some mistakes but he has to fail to grow. It's okay to fail.
- Zack wasn't rattled when he fumbled the football. Put his hand on my shoulder and said we're going to be alright.
- Both Zack and Tanner are accurate. Zack can get better with his accuracy on his deep balls.
- When a running back hits a big run, Shannon Brooks is going nuts. This team is becoming very selfless. Not where we need to be but getting there.
- Need to start halves faster.
- Very open and honest with players and sometimes they don't like what I say but at least they get the truth. Telling Seth Green he wouldn't be a QB anymore was a tough conversation. It was a positive for us tonight to be able to use him. He's a very selfless player.
- What else can we do with Antoine Winfield with the ball? You look at what we did with Seth Green so we'll see.
- There's a system to developing receivers here to get them to the NFL if they want to do that. TJ is recognizing that and on his way to become an elite NFL receiver.
- Have to give credit to everyone on Savages, our punt return team.
- Defense has a lot of team speed which allows for creativity with stunts and blitz packages.
- Definitely a tough conversation to switch positions. Prayed about it a lot, talked to my family. Just wanted to help the team so I switched.
- A little surprised by the timing of the wildcat. I expected it to be a later game play.
- Reps in practice depend on gameplan.
- I was joking in the returning room that I hadn't seen a return touchdown since I've been here, so I was excited, especially since he plays defense so I don't see the ball in his hands a lot.
- A lot deeper in the playbook this year week one this year than last year. Didn't run outside zone in week one last year. This year the playbook was fully open.
- Told Zack to keep balling after the game. Proud of him and the work he's put in.
- Hey, it is what it is if Antoine gets to play on offense. We're all for it.
- Officer Adams (Charles Adams) made the biggest influence on my life from North High.
