I've been following your Twitter tonight on marshawn wilson. 53 and 25 is a great stat line but that really concerns me who he's playing. Four years ago as a junior in high school, I played Whitney Young in Chicago in the regional finals. if you know Chicago hoops, they've been a powerhouse for some time. Okafor was a freshman at the time, and was very good, and Sam Thompson was a senior (4-5 star recruit to Ohio st). We lost to them 50-46. We were a marginal top 25 team in Chicago with one d1 player. That was a typical score for games we played as we were known for good team d.
To me, a 93-88 stat line means they were playing atrocious d and is a ridiculous high school score to me. Ive played several 3-4 star players who averaged numbers in the high 20s but when they played good team defenses would put up a mediocre 10. Is Wilson really playing good competition that plays solid d consistently or is he often playing pretty mediocre teams where he can dominate physically? I am impressed by the rebounding total regardless.
