Is there any of the Cargills with that surname, left in the Twin Cities?? I know there are a bunch of the MacMillians(who married in to the Cargill family at one time) running around but I was wondering if anyone knew specifically about the Cargills and their family. I think there is James II and Austen II that still own quite a bit of share from the family business. I know one lives in Wisconsin and the other in Montana or Idaho. There is a sister of those 2 in there but she married so her kids wouldn't carry the Cargill surname with them. I think James II and Austen II both had 2 children each but dont know if any of those 4 are boys to keep the family name going and if they stayed in the Twin Cities. I am pretty sure that all the ones with the Cargill name have heavy investment but none in the lineage work for the company on the day-to-day, anymore.
I think they are the biggest privately owned company in the world and based on revenue, they would be a top 10 company if they were held publically. I think it is the Minnesota version of the DuPont family though they are now public. Just interested, that is all.
