Quinton Baker is a running back who I've posted about a little bit before, but maybe now he becomes more relevant with Tre Bryant off the board to Nebraska. Baker was visited by Poore over the bye week.
Here's where I see running back recruiting at:
Arkeem Byrd - Loved his visit. I definitely think the Gophers are his leader, but nothing will come of that until Claeys is named permanent head coach.
Tre Bryant - I have conflicting reports with Bryant. He told at least one person on his visit that he absolutely loved it and wanted to commit. But then he told Husker Online that he told Mike Riley he was committing before he visited (Thursday). I think the door is for the most part closed with Bryant, but that will be something to revisit this winter.
Martell Pettaway - Never seemed to show too much interest in Minnesota, but maybe he's a name to revisit this winter.
I believe Baker to be the top uncommitted running back on the board at the moment. I think there's interest in an ACC-committed running back and possibly a couple others, but I don't think we'll see any more offers (at any position really, other than maybe Garrison Wright) go out until Claeys is named permanent head coach. Everything is kind of at a halt for now.
