Minnesota will have their NFL Pro Day tomorrow, Bateman and St. Juste talked with the media ahead of Thursday's event
Bateman:
- Put on a lot of muscle in the last couple of months, been out in Arizona training
- Focusing on all aspects of his games, have to be ready for everything in the NFL
- On St. Juste: everyday we went against each other, we gave each other a run for our money. He's the best DB I've ever been up against. He's an all-around defensive back, can play inside and outside.
- Everything confidential on NFL teams he's talked to for now
- Talks to Tyler Johnson and Antoine Winfield, Jr. all the time, been getting advice from him and is close with both
- Studies a lot of WR's in the NFL that are successful, each bring different things to the table
- Says everything depends on what the DB is doing, takes what he learns from film and practice and puts it on the field
- Choosing Minnesota was not a hard decision for him. They were the first power five school to give him an opportunity.
- Minnesota is a place he will always come back to and call home forever.
- On tomorrow's pro day: Just needs to go out and show them everything that he's got and leave everything on the field
- Says he's full of excitement going throughout the process knowing he's about to get drafted.
- Will experience draft night back home in Georgia with his family
- Will run the 40 tomorrow
- Has no idea why questions are out there about his speed
- "Be you and have fun" is the advice he received from Odell Beckham, Jr., who he's been working out with out in Arizona
- Excited to be able to accomplish his dream since he was two years old
