I was just thinking about how the Gophers basketball team was respected last year. Good seed, Coach of the Year, Mason on 1st team, Lynch Defensive POY, Murphy and Coffey acknowledged. This usually doesn't happen to Gopher teams. Not saying we've been disrespected....but usually not all of these things would happen.
Did all this happen just at random, because it was totally deserved? Would we have had all this happen in the past? Could it be the (Rick) Pitino effect? It sure would be nice if this continued. How nice would it be to be one of the teams that's always favored.
