Ed and Tommy Olson's grandfather (his son played for the U in the 70s as well). I just saw on Facebook that he passed away. Carl was my 11th grade English teacher - a physically giant of a man with a booming voice and a love of literature. He was a very good man. I ran into him at the Middle Tennessee State game (at the pre-game tailgate) and spoke with him for several minutes.
