Looks like the Gophers started a "thing". Both Rutgers and now Nebraska are gonna start Freshman Quarterbacks this week.
Rutgers is going with the kid.
True freshman Artur Sitkowski will be the Scarlet Knights' starting quarterback, three individuals with knowledge of the decision told NJ Advance Media. They were granted anonymity because the decision had not yet been made public.
The school has since announced the decision.
Sitkowski, an Old Bridge native and the most heralded recruit of the Ash era, will lead Rutgers in its season opener against Texas State on Sept. 1 at HighPoint.com Stadium in Piscataway...

Nebraska names true freshman Martinez opening day QB
Adrian Martinez is poised to become the first true freshman in Nebraska history to start at quarterback in a season opener.
The Cornhuskers released their first official depth chart for the 2018 season Saturday, and first-year coach Scott Frost listed Martinez's name atop the quarterbacks.
Martinez was a major recruiting win for Frost in December, as he ranked 103rd overall on the ESPN 300 and eighth among pocket passers. Nebraska was in need of a quarterback after 2017 starter Tanner Lee declared for the draft - where he was taken in the sixth round by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Martinez, a native of Fresno, Calif., will lead the Huskers into action Saturday versus Akron.
