Our son, age 38, had a strong but somewhat delayed apparent allergic reaction (5+ days after 1st shot) to the Moderne shot. He developed hives all over his body, his face swelled up, and later his chest muscles and biceps contracted painfully on their own, and several of his joints "seized up". Two visits to ER resulted in treatment with Prednisone, Benadryl, and Claritin. These meds initially helped to reduce some of the symptoms, but after several hours wore off. He's still experiencing symptoms 5+ days after onset and has been told they will likely last another 3-5 days. Have any of you, or family/friends experienced similar reactions? Any effective treatments to shorten or curtail the negative reactions? TIA.
