The headline in the Seattle Times this morning is "Deflated" and that about sums it up. We watched the game at a friend of my wife's house in South Lake Union. The neighborhood has a bit of a college feel to it since it's near UW and Amazon's headquarters Before the game it was like a mini tailgate. We walked home to our apartment on Capitol Hill which took us past a couple bars that are game day haunts of many and they were completely empty. We got a few sarcastic "Go Hawks!" on the way home and that was about it. Today I saw no one wearing Seahawks gear. Also Darrell Bevel is dead as far as people are concerned here. For his own safety he should remain in Arizona for a while. In case you were at all concerned, I'm not too upset by it. I'm only disappointed because it would have been a huge party if they'd won. Apparently last year it raged until dawn in some neighborhoods. Oh well, there's always next year.
