Former Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater plans to sign a one-year contract with the New York Jets when the new league year officially begins Wednesday, a league source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Bridgewater will get approximately half of the $10 million the Jets agreed Tuesday to pay Josh McCown on another one year deal, the source said.
Bridgewater's contract contains minimal guaranteed money, the source said, but he can earn at least $6 million if he is on the team's opening week roster, plus other incentives based on his playing time.
