The other day. I had a meaningful post chat with Dragon54. In it he made the comment I did not know him or his reasons for why he chose his school, and that I was making certain assumption. I would like to thank him for this, because it got me to thinking about something.
A few years ago I met a young man, whom I didn't recognize,at a local gym. It turned out to be none other than Rickey Foggie.
This single reason is why I did in fact believe Dragon54. I also know that parents, graduate students and graduate student athletes are on this board.
While thinking about this, it was real cool to realize that Mr. Foggie decided to stay here in Minnesota to live.
I also am a 100% disabled VET who get's his care at the VA hospital at Fort Snelling. Some may not know it, but the VA there is a teaching VA, witch some students from the U of M go for internship. I am a Vet who really appreciates this.
So I would like to thank all of you graduates for the help I and others like me, both civilian and VET alike, receive from you in all fields of life. For those of you, both athlete and non-athlete, who decided to stay in Minnesota and continue to make this a great state. Thank you very much!!!!
For those of you who went else where, thank you keeping our nation great. Thank you for representing the U of M and the great state of Minnesota. Remember you will always have a home here with us.
For all of the students parents. Thank you for your support. Not only for supporting the decision your child made to attend the U of M, But for your support of all the athletes.
