Fitzgerald said he knew running back Justin Jackson wouldn't have the haul of carries he usually does because he was "banged up." Jackson rushed seven times, only once in the second half, for 18 yards. But Fitzgerald was more concerned about the line's play.

Until their last drive, the Wildcats managed only 1 yard rushing (and finished with 22 total with a 1 yard per carry average).

Thorson was sacked four times for a loss of 40 yards, and three of those came on critical third downs. The Wildcats managed to convert only 1 of 10 third downs.

Thorson finished just 11 of 29 passing for 120 yards with two interceptions
