Update for the Iowa moderator.
Creston OL Trevor Downing told me that he's planning to decide soon, sometime in the next couple weeks.
He's been a frequent visitor at Iowa State this spring including another stop in Ames last Friday. Didn't make it to Iowa's spring practice that I'm aware of, so his last Hawkeye visit would have been the March 5th junior day.
Other offers include Kansas State, Minnesota, and Missouri, but his focus has mostly been on the in-state schools for a while now it seems.
According to their board, ISU is the pretty big favorite. A few people who claim to know say mom wants ISU because of proximity. I think Fleck gave him something to really think about but I think proximity may win out and ISU has been on him a whole year longer than Fleck has as well. He was kind of like Campbell's Quinn Carroll the minute he got the job there. But you never know....Fleck definitely turned their heads a little bit.
