A year or two ago, it seemed like I got a text or Facebook message from Tyler when he got as much as a letter from a school. Now, his recruitment is at its peak, he was busy with basketball for most of the summer, football's starting up, and he's understandably not talking to the media a whole ton. So I spoke with his head coach, Charles Adams, who stays involved with his recruitment.
Tyler told me several days ago that he'll be visiting. I didn't want to post that on here until I knew a date, but I guess maybe a date still hasn't been set. Will he commit then? Adams doesn't think so and that would be consistent with what Tyler told Josh Helmholdt a month ago. But Minnesota is still the leader.
Adams also talked about the Minnesota staff viewing him as a receiver now. There is still room for him, even though three receivers in this class is a lot, considering all of the young receivers on this team. Plus, Tyler is an athlete can could play several positions.
