Warning: possible hyperbole to follow. However, IMO the entire season comes down to next week's tilt

Purdue lost to Bowling Green to drop to 1-3. The Boilermakers are a total mess. Every conference game is a battle, but Purdue is the one road game we should absolutely win.

Northwestern is undefeated, ranked, and sports a solid resume with 2 wins over power 5 teams.

Next week Minnesota plays Northwestern and Wisconsin plays Iowa. The 2 winners have the early edge in the West division hierarchy.

However, Wisconsin and Iowa have charmin soft crossover schedules, so either is better equipped to absorb an early conference loss than Minnesota and Northwestern.

Because of this, I think the loser of next week's Gophers/Cats tilt will have too much ground to make up to expect to make a run at the West.

This is gonna be a long week waiting on the depth chart and then the game that defines the season.
