Was looking back through rivals class rankings, and was struck

by the fact that the much ballyhooed 'Empire' class of '16 still only ranked 50th nationally.

That kind of floored me. For some reason I thought it ranked much higher.

Now, I personally love the '16 class and think in the next 3 years they are gonna do big things.

Still, it's interesting to note that this year's class already has nearly as many Rivals points as the 2016 class had upon completion.

Any others have thoughts about where recruiting has been vs. where it's going?

Also, based on past years Minnesota still needs to pull a few 4 star guys to end up with a highly ranked class.

Will be interesting to see if

1) any current commits get upgraded to 4 star status

2) Now that Fleck has over 20 commmits, can he go out and work on flipping some 4 star guys currently committed elsewhere?

I'm paying attention to see how Fleck attacks schools that recruit well but may be vulnerable to poaching due to current circumstances.

Ole Miss jumps to mind, among others.
