Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press is reporting that the Golden Gophers’ center Jared Weyler, who left Saturday’s game in the fourth quarter with an undisclosed injury that appeared to be related to his left leg, is “going to be OK,” according to head coach P.J. Fleck. No word yet on whether he will be cleared to play on Saturday.
“We’ve got to be able to be smart with him, but no, it looks like he is going to be OK,” said Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck, who didn’t provide details of what happened to Weyler.
You can breathe a sigh of relief now.
Fleck also mentioned that sophomore defensive Tai’yon Devers, who did not dress for Buffalo and did not travel for Oregon State, could play this Saturday against Middle Tennessee State. But Fleck has yet to make the final decision. No reason has been provided for his absence, but it doesn’t sound injury-related.
