At practice today, as you can imagine, there was a lot of discussion about Teague's resignation. Here's what I heard. This information is not from a source within the program, but someone who has enough credibility for me to feel comfortable sharing.
Take it for what it's worth. Now on to writing a practice report...
- Apparently T. Denny Sanford and Teague didn't always see eye-to-eye. Can't remember exactly what was said, but the point was that the person I spoke to didn't seem very confident that Teague was going to get the job done with Sanford. He said something about this could actually be positive for the facilities project.
- There were two names that were thrown out: Pete Najarian and Tony Dungy. Kaler couldn't possibly have a shortlist already, and I assume a full search process will happen. This person I talked to said something pretty matter of factly about Najarian and Dungy, though. They'll be talked to, or targets, or something, which I think was already assumed.
