I maybe answering my own question but I know they were in the college WS with Dave Winfield.. Why didnt Dave's brother Steve, play with them?? Was he good enough?? Or maybe he did and I just dont know that. Seems like that group in that 3-4 year period was a good time of history for HS baseball in the state as well. I think Dave Goltz, who pitched for the Twins, was from Coon Rapids. I think Paul Siebert was in those times, as well?? Wasn't Tom Johnson around at those times, as well?? Did the Gophers try to recruit all those guys?? Just interested in learning Gopher history. I realize that a few years after that was the Molitor/Morris years.
What were the best years, for Gopher baseball??
