I’ve spent the past 8-9 months at my job working towards this election. Today is the day. I should be nervous and excited, but instead it all feels kind of anticlimactic.

2020 is just a weird year in all ways.

Hope everybody has a good Election Day.

And just remember, no matter who wins, the real work starts after the election. Politicians aren’t gonna fix this country, even the politicians you like. And we all have more in common with each other than we do with any of the politicians who purport to represent us.

Chuck D summed up my feelings perfectly:

‘Brothers and sisters,
The world we share is filled with such despair,
And such pain,

We're a people at odds with our very own selves,
The rich neglect the poor,
The young resent the old,
We're divided by race, divided by religion,

Our politicians rob us and our leaders fail us,
I think it's safe to say that we are our only hope’
