Sturges is visiting Minnesota on Tuesday. He has a lot of offers, including six from Power 5 schools, but they're beatable and the Gophers think they have a decent chance.
Sanford (N.C.) Lee three-star Jahmir Smith is another high priority at running back, but he's a tough get with Notre Dame, and some more local schools all prioritizing him.
Raleigh (N.C.) Sanderson Trent Pennix was also at one point a major target, and Minnesota may push for an official visit, but right now his favorite is Virginia Tech.
Syracuse running back Stevie Scott is another target to know about, and someone who I think will likely get an official visit, especially if Sturges and others don't pan out.
Minnesota's in a good spot for Donovan Marshall, but I don't think he's necessarily a top, top target at the moment.
