from last week:

Four-star defensive back Craig Watts announced on Twitter that he is backing off his verbal commitment to Wisconsin and reopening his recruitment.

Watts announcement comes less than a month after the 5-foot-10 athlete from St. Petersburg, Fla., committed to the Badgers during an unofficial visit to Madison.

Watts did take an unofficial visit to Colorado the following weekend, though, which suggested that his recruitment could go right down to the wire.
The Badgers worked hard to secure Watts' original commitment, which at the time seemed to fill a big need in the defensive backfield. The Badgers already have a commitment from three-star defensive back Seth Currens, but are looking to sign at least two athletes who can play safety in their 2016 recruiting class.

And while Watts' de-commitment is definitely a blow to head coach Paul Chryst's first recruiting class, the Badgers will have to move on quickly and see if they can fill Watts' spot as they try to fill a few other needs before Signing Day in Februar - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1781998#sthash.oCMjOzSd.dpuf
