Will the Republicans in Congress have the backbone to challenge electoral results?

November 6 is a very important day. Congress will meet to certify the election results, VP Pence will preside and have the final say. Many Republicans have been outraged with the results of the seven contested states and stated that they have clearly violated their own laws. Some R's have already stated that they will speak-up. This is their chance to challenge the results as the constitution allows even though it probably would be futile.

But will they?

This is the GOP’s last stand. If they don’t support Trump, that’s it for their party. Many Trump supporters, myself included, would walk away from the GOP, in votes and financial contributions, support a new party or no party at all, telling the national GOP and RNC to go screw themselves.

McConnell and others have already acknowledged Biden as the winner. They clearly have gone wobbly on Trump, and 75 million Trump supporters may go wobbly on the GOP. They don't want to make waves and McConnell has already told Senators to keep their mouths shut as contesting the results would be "terrible". They will show their true colors, protect the swamp, their spoils and rewards thus abandon the majority of of R voters who believe there was widespread election fraud.

Time to step up R's. If opportunity knocks and the GOP doesn’t answer the door, then it’s lights out for the Republican Party. And for many of us, good riddance.
