The defensive end/outside linebacker learned a lot about coach PJ Fleck’s program during the trip.
“It was great. It was nice to see what a real day looks like,” Woleben said.
“I really noticed the energy during their practice. It was also great to see what the team and position meetings looked like.”
The defender said that he really likes the defensive coaches on the Gophers’ staff. He feels like the program could be a good fit for him but he’ll continue going through the process.
Up next is a visit to Iowa State this weekend. Then in the spring he’ll visit Kansas and Kansas State.
Woleben had 43 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks as a junior last season. He knows what he’s looking for as he continues evaluating schools.
“I’m looking for the culture and fit of the program most,” Woleben said.
