Transfer portal season is upon us. Well, technically, next Monday. That being said, the new magic number is 105. The Gophers are currently at 114 on the roster but 16 Gophers are in their last year of eligibility, moving that number to 98. HOWEVER, they're set to add 22 recruits as part of their 2025 recruiting class to the roster this week which puts them at 120 players. There are obviously a few players who could leave early for the draft and someone like Ersery will do so but all in all, the Gophers need to see at least 15 players this offseason leave the program for the draft or the portal, just to get to the 105 limit for next season. That is of course, without adding any transfers.
TLDR: Expect to see plenty of transfer protal movement for the Gophers this offseason, especially leaving.
