After 42 years, Garrison Keillor recorded his last broadcast, LAST NIGHT, from the long ongoing radio series "A Prairie Home Companion".. Who would have known in 1974 that the fictitious Lake Wobegone would develop a huge following like it has to date?? The show will be re-run in the summer and there will be a replacement for the 73 year old Keillor in the fall.
He was originally brought to Minnesota Public Radio from University of Minnesota because of his ability to pronounce names of music composers and artists from foreign countries in classical music... I think I read he will remain in St. Paul in his retirement but he was enjoyable to listen to for many fans that established a cult following. Happy Retirement, Mr Keillor!!
