Oregon State looked as bad today as they have for the last three season. We know Coach Anderson is a winner (19-7 at Wisconsin and 13-3 in Big Ten games there over two years). He must have been left with an absolute mess at OSU to still be this bad after he's been there for two full years.
Who left the mess? Mike Riley, the coach Nebraska hired in 2015. Riley has had a little bad luck in close games at NE but his Husker teams have been misfiring on offense and defense for two years. And I'm pretty sure he's hired a new DC for this year.
Why did Nebraska hire a coach as old and marginally successful as Riley? After watching OSU today, I'm more confident with respect to Minnesota chances of beating the Huskers at home this year.
