I thought I would post this as an amazing fact...... Jimmy Carter is the ONLY former President to be alive for 10.......10... presidential inaugurations AFTER he left office(1980,'84,'88,'92,'96,'00,'04,'08,'12,'16).. I dont believe any other former President is close... When you think that inaugurations are only every 4 years, the limit on how young the President can be when he can hold office, and the stress of the job, it is INCREDIBLE, regardless how you lean politically, that a former President could be alive to see that many inaugurations after leaving office.
Of course, people live longer these days, but I am not sure anyone will ever get to see that many after leaving office.. Most President enter office too old to have the time to see that many after their terms.
