This is good news for Gophers fans. I've said before that I Byrd is the most interested in Tennessee and Georgia Tech. He likes how GT is close to home, and just marveled at several things with Tennessee when I asked them about him. Both are recruiting him as a defensive back. Tech is waiting to see if Romeo Finley will commit there before they go full swing on Byrd, and Tennessee is waiting on Nigel Warrior. Warrior and Finley, by the way, are both no longer considering Minnesota.
