I attended the game. I wanted to post a few thoughts earlier, but was swamped at work.

First, the CSU student section was impressive. The fill a whole half of the stadium less the band. I would guess there were between 15,000 and 16,500 in students.

Second, CSU has a cool stadium location. It is literally in the foothills of the Rockies. It also has great beer with Coors products on tap including Blue Moon and other specialty Coors brews. The stadium, however, feels dated and the scoreboard and sound are awful. I was told CSU is building a new stadium on campus, which is about 2.5 miles away.

Three, the stadium announcer was totally confused. He was calling pass attempts to Gopher D-linemen. Perhaps the best way to describe him is Colorado Sid.

Four, the Gophers traveled well. Of the 32,500 seats, Gophers fans had 5,000 to 6,000 seats.

Five, in the post game show, the CSU players and coaches were very complimentary of the Gophers. One of the CSU players described the Gopher D as the best he has seen in his 3 years at CSU.

Six, it was hot. Dam hot. Between the altitude and sun, that was a tough environment. Especially because CSU's bench was shaded for most of the second half, while the Gophers baked.

Sorry for the long post.
