I got home at 3:00 and got up at 6:00 to go to work but it was a fun night. The Bank was full, the student section was rockin, there aint nothing better then college football. First I was very impressed with Rodney Smith. Second, I was disappointed in Williams. Between the fumble and the dropped swing pass, I just don't think he is the guy we want to carry the load. Mitch played about the way I was expecting. He made some bad throws but he made enough good throws that we could have won the game. The receivers could have made a few more catches also but Mitch did not lose this game. I feel we are definitely deeper at WR with Carter and Holland and Still. I had hoped Jones would get a chance to make a play but he was only in there a few snaps. The O-Line needs to get healthy. There was a lot to like on the defensive side. We looked quick, tackled well, and swarmed to the ball. I really liked Huff. He makes plays! I thought Poock and Rogers both played well for their first game. I was a little disappointed the D-Line didn't put more pressure on. Also, as good as Murray is he seems to get a lot of PI penalties. James seems to catch punts well but he made a critical error that really cost us just when we had some momentum. Overall it was a good effort and I'm optimistic for a great season but now we have to beat CSU!!
