40 page decision. In my opinion, reads like it was written by someone who just didn't agree with the suspension and was looking for ways to overturn it. Very weak decision IMO. Basically the judge seems to think that every conceivable infraction that possibly could be committed by a player has to be listed somewhere in the player policies manual with designated penalties, and does not buy into the notion that the whole point of a commissioner presiding over a CBA is to retain discretion to address an infinite range of possible circumstances.

The court system and the NFL have together made a complete mess out of the league's administration -- you've got actual cheating that could affect a game and the NFL can't punish a player for it, and on the other hand you've got off-field actions not affecting the game and the NFL has their hands all over them and applying on-the-fly punishment standards. Mess.
