Shelby was supposed to struggle tonight against a good Edison team... Edison was a top 5 rated club in a division lower than Shelby... Well Shelby won the game 43-0.... Shelby's top opponents this year were supposed to be Bellevue and Edison... Shelby was a combined 89-0 against those 2 teams.
Stats arent going to be big for Armstrong though he had 1 TD pass and a 5 yard TD run.... it is rainy and wet in northern Ohio so Shelby ran the ball with their backs tonight.. Shelby had a 30-0 lead at half so they had a continuous running clock the whole 2nd half.....If Shelby stays focused, they have the defense and weapons on offense to go real deep in the playoffs. Tonight Shorty Brooks, Shelby's all state RB,had a big game and the back up QB Albert, got in the game to throw a 61 yard TD pass. I went to this game but the game did not turn out to be closer, which I had expected...I would be shocked if Shelby did not finish the regular season undefeated as they are much better than their 3 remaining opponents.
