Coaches are only able to watch them practice and talk to their coaches, and they’ll run into players into the hallways or something, but these aren’t really “visits,” per se.

Coach Fleck made his first recruiting visit to 2019 prospects when he flew to California to see 5.9-rated four-star quarterback Hank Bachmeier. Fleck went to Bachmeier’s practice, then talked to him on the phone afterwards. TGR will have a full update in a separate story.

After leaving sunny California, Fleck took a trip back to the Midwest to visit Council Bluffs, Iowa to check in on 5.7 three-star quarterback Max Duggan, who’s also been offered and is hearing from Minnesota a lot. Duggan has a handful of Power 5 offers and has visited Minnesota.

Fleck also went to Omaha, Nebraska to check out 5.5-rated 2019 three-star linebacker Nick Henrich. This summer, he told TGR that Minnesota was one of the schools recruiting him the hardest, and he attended the recruiting BBQ. He also holds offers from iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, and Nebraska. “He came to visit Monday. It was good. He mainly just talked to (my) coach though because of the rules. Coach said it went really well.”

Ed Warinner checked in on four-star 2019 athlete Cameron Phillips of Westerville, Ohio. He also holds offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Phillips told TGR that the brief visit went “great!”

Four-star 2019 tackle Trevor Keegan of Crystal Lake, Illinois received a visit from Brian Callahan and told TGR that it went really well.

Ed Warinner visited 2019 three-star Ohio guard Zach Carpenter and gave him an offer as well. Other offers he holds are from Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Northwestern, Pitt, Rutgers, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.

New note:

Coach Warriner visited unranked, Colombus, Ohio defensive end, Dontay Hunter, yesterday(9/20/17). Hunter holds offers from Minnesota and Kentucky. Hunter is very interested in Minnesota and said earlier it's one of his top schools.
