Ted Stieber graduated from Akron Hoban in Ohio... Their team this year is MUCH better than the years Ted was at Hoban.. They got a transfer QB in from Massillon named Danny Clark that is committed to Ohio State as well as the RB, Todd Sibley. They have a kid who is a combo WR/LB named Jonah Morris going to Michigan State. They may be one of the top 3-4 HS teams in Ohio, regardless of size of school, this year.. They are a DIvision 3 school(In Ohio, Division 1 is the biggest). In 5 games, the first team defense has given up only 7 points and that was on a busted coverage on Friday against arch rival, Akron St Vincent St Marys. Their backups on the JV team gave up a varsity TD in mop up duty against Toledo Woodward.. Only points given up all year.

But here is a kid I would like to see the Gophers recruit that I think can be as good as any of them.. His name is Nate Bauer. He is a CB/WR at 6-0 180lbs and a SUB 4.5 40 kid as a sophomore in HS... He was named MVP of the game among all those D1 commits as a sophomore and had an interception return and 4 decent punt returns in the victory against St Vincent St Marys. I think he will project as a DB but we will see. I could not believe my ears when someone at his game had the audacity to say he can't play D1 defensive back if he isn't a black kid... I don't care if the kid is black, white, blue, green, or orange.. I will put my name on the prediction that this is a kid that will play D1 football, barring injury or something tragic. Absolute non-stop motor and a smart, athletic player with great technique. Watch his video on HUDL, if you have a chance.
