It took all 5 sets but the Gophers beat #6 Nebraska tonight. BIG BIG WIN FOR THE MAROON AND GOLD!!!!
It was a strange match in that Minnesota had control of each of the first 4 games but could only finish 2 of them. JENNA WENAAS HAD A HUGE NIGHT!! Personal highs in kills and her defensive game was good, as well... I love her as a player because she is confident and does not let mistakes pull her down.. She shrugs them off and gets back into the game mentally, right away. Stephanie Samedy with another great performance.
Minnesota has another difficult match against Ohio State on Thursday before the schedule eases up a little bit as Minnesota will be playing teams that are below .500 after that for a few matches. Tonight was not the prettiest of matches but Minnesota showed a lot of resilience and I am proud of the Gophers volleyball.
